Woodlot Christian Preschool is designed to help children develop a healthy relationship with their friends, family, and God. As an independent, interdenominational school, it welcomes all races and creeds. An opportunity is provided for children to develop an eagerness to learn in an atmosphere of love and joy. Judeo-Christian values are taught encouraging children to be respectful of others and self-confident.
Using a multi-sensory approach to teaching, we prepare the children for kindergarten by providing a wide variety of fun, enriching activities to develop skills in the areas of language, literacy, number concepts, science, and physical health. Books including the Bible, story telling, drama, and poetry are used to enrich the daily program.
Our exciting small group Music/Movement classes include singing, dancing, rhythm instruments, and creative drama. A wide variety of art media promotes opportunities to develop self-expression and confidence.
We help children develop a sense of responsibility in caring for our school community and physical environment.
In addition to enjoying a well-equipped outdoor play area, the children have many opportunities inside for physical exercise to grow and strengthen gross and fine motor skills.
Time is provided for creative play and group sharing.
